ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain records.
ANM course trains the students & make them capable to work as basic health workers. ANM graduates main focus is given towards the treatment of children, women & old age people.
The Course of study shall extend over a period of 2 academic years from the date of commencement of his/her study of the subjects comprising the nursing curriculum to the date of completion of examination. Terms and vacations will be as notified by the University from time to time.
The ANM course comprised of 2 year of studies. A candidate shall undergo a course of instructions on the following extending over a period of one/two academic years.
This course is also known as MPW course in Tripura.
The candidates shall bear all the expenses in connection with the selection of interview. They will have to make their own arrangement for accommodation during the interview.
The provisionally selected candidates after the interview will be intimated about the fees payable to the institution.
Selection-intimation-letter is to be surrendered to the college office at the time of paying the fees.
Admission secured on the basis of false information supplied shall stand cancelled and the fees forfeited.
All Communications with office in connection with the application can be entertained only when the application number is quoted. All communications from the college will be made if a self-addressed stamped envelope is enclosed. Selection notification will intimate the date of commencement of classes.
Candidates remaining absent for the first three consecutive days without prior permission shall forfeit their admission as well as fees.

A minimum of not less than 80% attendance in theory and practical / clinical separately in each subject in each academic year is essential for appearing in the examination. A candidate pursuing in the course shall study in the college for the entire period as a full time student. No candidate is permitted to work in a hospital nursing home /laboratory / college studying this course of study of appears for other examination conducted by this university or any other university in India or abroad during the period of registration. Each academic year shall be taken as a unit for calculating the attendance.
Regular periodic assessment shall be conducted throughout the course. Although the question of number of tests is left to the institution at least three tests theory and practical each year be held. The test preceding the university examination may be similar to the pattern of university examination. Average of the marks of the three tests for theory and practical separately shall be sent to the university.
A candidate shall secure not less than 50% of marks prescribed for assessment in theory and not less than 50% marks prescribed in practical, separately, in each subject/paper to be eligible to appear in the university examination.
The university shall conduct two examinations annually at an interval of not less than 4 to 6 months as notified the university from time to time. A candidate who satisfies the requirements of attendance, progress and conduct as stipulated by university shall be eligible to appear for the university examination. Certificate to that effect shall be produced by the Head of the Institution along with application for examination and the prescribed fee.
